Well, a long day's flying with adverse winds but quite pleasant until the last bit :-roll

A rugged sort of place :-roll

Here is the destination weather...The landing will be a nightmare :-eek I intend to do an ILS approach onto runway 23 and then break off to the right onto the left downwind for a visual onto R/W 05 :-roll
The lady steering the boat is my dear wife, Nica :-)

These look like old volcanos.

Approaching ELFEE, those volcanos are on my left, marked ^3000.

Now we have a long leg, as you can see on the GPS...527nms and 4H:05M. I can bring up a temporary GPS panel at the top left with more details...you can see those figures there.

On finals now for runway 23...so much drift that I'm looking at the runway through the Co-Pilot's windscreen :-eek There is NO WAY I'm going to attempt a visual onto 05 in this. I have a 70 degree crosswind component and a downwind 20 degree. No one else is in the sky and there is no ATC here...I'm landing on THIS runway :-roll

Well, I'm down safely, but could not stop it drifting off onto the grass :-(
Well nobody seems to fly here at all! I have not heard a single aircraft all day...just the various controllers. I bet they are glad I'm around. At least it gives them someone to talk to.
I had a lot of difficulty taxying to the fuelling point...but it is all done. If it is blowing like this tomorrow, I may consider taking-off straight into wind on the grass :-eek.
