Default Crusader on Deck (and a repaint question)

The F-8 Crusader also known as the Last Gunfighter. This plane is available at AlphaSimulations www.alphasim.co.uk/main.html for a modest fee.

I think I'd like to try my hand at repainting planes, but it looks difficult. Is there any advice or good tutorials that anyone could suggest? I'm willing to try, but I wish there was some software to apply paint to the actual models rather than painting flat bits and wrapping them around hoping everything lines up!

    Excellent shots!
    The second one looks great!
As for your repainting question, Lvber123 has a site on how to convert your textures which you need to do first, dont know the URL though. And there are lots of repainting tutorials here at flightsim.com or avsim.com. I'm quite mad at the moment because I lost 8 minutes of work on the tail on a repaint because my computer froze for no reason!:-mad :-mad

Great shots!! You have a way of making them look so real...and your colors are excellent. Chuck

Thanks for the nice compliments! It's not even one of my favourite planes, but after seeing it in action I found it to be suprisingly photogenic!
