This is something that has happened in the past many times. FSMeteo is not freezing. Actually, it is waiting for METAR info from the server. However, if the server is bogged down for some reason, FSMeteo will sit there and wait without letting you intervene. The only solution is to Ctrl-Alt-Del and exit the program. So it's not really a problem with FSMeteo, but as some have stated, a problem with the server.

I had mentioned to Marc in the past that being able to stop FSMeteo from waiting on a response from the server would be a great feature. He hasn't implemented it yet. However, he did send me a version (about a year ago) that would allow me to direct it to either server 1 or server 2, without having to wait for FSMeteo to timeout on server 1.

You should either wait until the server speeds up (it's doing it to me as well) or send Marc an email and see if he can come up with a way to stop the program from waiting after user intervention.

PS : don't you find strange FSMETEO freezes on both servers (FSMETEO and VATSIM ?)

    Usually.

Other times server 2 would be fast and server 1 was a snail. That's why I asked Marc to add the feature and he did, for me only though (I'm so special ;-)). Actually, he said he'd think of adding it in later releases, but never has. He probably forgot. One of the best parts of this "personal update" was that he sent me the new version within 2 hours of me emailing him about it. Now THAT'S customer service!
