American Airlines MD-80 Real Chrome

Has anyone successfully downloaded the Real Chrome versions of the American Airlines MD-80 and 777-300 by Mark Hofmann? I cannot get the landing gear to deploy on the MD-80. I always get a message which says "Above gear extend airspeed" no matter what speed I slow the plane to. So, once you're up, you're up because you can't land! I've tried switching the .air files from another FS2002 MD-80 (83) per Mark's instructions without any luck (He seems to know there is a problem with them, but doesn't seem extremely helpful in his emails).

Also, no matter what I try, I cannot get his AA 777-300 to appear in my livery on FS2002. They are both beautiful planes, but they don't do much good if you can't get them to work properly. I have gotten his 737 to work just fine.

I would love to get these planes to function as the reflections graphics are incredible. Can anyone help? What am I doing wrong? :-(

I have the aircraft in question. I hadn't actually flown it until I read your note. (Just been using it as a really nice-looking AI.) So I did a very quick flight--took off, retracted the gear, climbed to 2000 feet, then lowered the gear. It seemed to work fine in that quick test. That doesn't solve your problem, but at least you know it isn't necessarily a glitch in the download.
