My favourite aircraft

This one is a Douglas DC-9-41 in the new livery of Scandinavian Airlines System (OY-KGR, 'Holger Viking'). Joined the SAS fleet in Jul '76 and was taken out of service in Jan 02', according to http://www.bahnhof.se/~classic/

Thanks to Stellan Hilmbery (real SAS pilot on the DC-9) for cockpit views and thanks to Baard Inge Ostergaard for the a/c textures.

Btw, Stellan is soon releasing a new FS2002 model for DC-9, with panel included! Check his webpage on the adress above.

FLIGHTFX POLICY

1.) We design for reality, not for idealism.
Thus, you will not see virtual cabins on our aircraft. You can not see inside the real thing anyway, unless you are looking into the sun. You will find virtual cockpits but they will not be visible from outside for the same reason.
2.) We design for people with real computers. Thusly, we will not waste polygons on superfluous parts. We will use a texture when there is no noticeable difference between it and a group of performance wasting parts. We will model our aircraft efficiently. If you do not like it, too bad.

Where can I get the FS2000 panel, while I wait for the FS2002 panel? Also, do you have an idea when the aircraft and panel will be released? Thanks for the pics, I look forward to adding this to my hanger.

That's probably because he doesn't want it to be "out there" anymore, while he is releasing the new FS2002 panel, which is probably much better than the one for FS2000.

The new FS2002 a/c and panel will be released quite soon I think. I think Matts Falck has done the textures, while Stellan has designed the cockpit and worked with the airfile.

If you absolutely _can't_ wait for the FS2002 panel, feel free to contact me, and I'll hand over the FS2000 panel for you.
