Default Pull to left on runways

I have a problem with FS2002, on several machines where with no wind the plane pulls to the left of the runway. I have tried altering the trim but it makes no diffrence and my joystick has digital callibration so that is not the problem. There is no problem in flight.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem last week. I use a Saitek Cyborg 3d Gold USB stick on Win ME. I downloaded updated drivers from the Saitek site and have had no probs since.

You may be experiencing what is known as "p-factor". In the real world, prop aircraft tend to move left on the runway when full throttle is applied and must be corrected with a touch of right rudder. This phenomenon is caused by the rotation of the prop. The prop rotating at high speed acts much like a gyro, and the air resistance acting upon it upsets the gyro effect which translates into the aircraft causing it to swing left on take off. As speed builds up, air resistance diminishes, and p-factor is less severe.

Therefore, what the simulator is doing is simulating the real action of the aircraft...(nothing to do with joysticks.)

    hope this helps...

Check your flight model settings in the realism settings of the sim. If you don't want the p-factor to affect your plane just run the setting down to zero.

I have the same problem, I just apply left rudder. However, it even happens on jets some time... like the 737 for example. I have a Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro 2 (non-feedback kind).

It's covered in the landing, taxiing etc. section of the FS2002 tips (banner link at the top of the page).
