A little treat for you with cable or DSL connections.
she was late leaving today and past by at 11.38 GMT. Unfortunately she only takes 17 seconds to pass by.

    The file is 4.5MB.

Enjoy and use as you want

Jesus, that thing is loud! Do you ever have broken windows or anything?

My God, it's clear the next-generation SST has to be QUIETER!

Loud, nothing, it can be louder than that. I like the noise, a bit like a real aircraft. As I said in an earlier thread, I prefer it to the strile characterless whine of the modern turbo fan.

She is a special plane and it will be a long time before there is another SST. Anyway think how noisy your average military jet is.

I work about a mile from where I live and see and hear Concorde most days. As it passes its the sign for another cup of tea.

We Brits are quaint maybe that why we like the plane so much.

What I would like though is an English accent for the pilot. Somehow, a North American accent is just not right.

Mind you when Hollywood make the film "The Concorde Story", it will turn out to be an American plane flown by US airlines and US pilots.

(Ok guys, - another touch of irony - just put the remark in the context of a Monty Python sketch).

Nice bit of footage and especially nice to see her flying again after the tragedy in France last year.

Your right about the military jets, I live half a mile from the end of BAe Wharton's runway where they produce the Typhoon (EFA) and Tornadoes and they are LOUD, makes the whole house shake when they take off with everything turning and burning. Even worse are the Harriers when they come in for a vertical landing. Concorde in comparison is like a whisper jet.

Interesting intel: sources say the Boeing Sonic Cruiser will actually be designed/stressed for supersonic flight. An engine change will enable supersonic flight. Anyway, I agree the Concorde is a fantastic aircraft....but its noise is but one drawback that should be corrected in the next generation SST.
