After christmas i'm now the happy owner of FS 2002 and a joystick. I have a few problems though. First of all i cant pass the flight test (first checkride) because i keep messing up the steep turn. I've tried autorudder and that didnt help.

Another thing was my plane veers off to the left (Cessna for example). Is this part of the flight dynamics as it doesnt happen with jet engines.

Last of all how do you take screen shots.

[font size="1" color="#FF0000"]LAST EDITED ON Jan-01-02 AT 08:26AM (EDT)[/font][p]On the steep turn, increase the power as you go into the turn and apply some back pressure to keep the nose up. Try to stay +/- 50 feet of the height at entry.
also when the plane is established in the turn bring the stick back to neutral otherwise you will find the turn becomes a spiral dive.

If the aircraft is veering of to the left when flying try some rudder trim and aim to keep the black ball in the middle on the turn co-ordinator.

If you are referring to it veering off to the left on the runway, ie full power at take off then that is another matter.

In the real world this happens because of torque from the prop/engine.

There is a bit of controversy in the forum whether tis is all down to torque or the flight dynamics are wrong.

Personally I favour torque and that is confirmed if you take the auto rudder of in flight and see how the plane swings before rudder trim is applied.

Try it out and see.

do a search for "checkride" on this forum and I think you'll find some help. As for the veering to the left, I guess it's the torque from the engine. I'm NOT good at this but my understanding is that it has something with the propellor spinning in one direction, and it doesn't appear in two engine planes or one engine jets(?). I'm quite sure you'll get a better explanation soon on this thread.
