    Default Win2000 (again, sorry)

First thanks to all those that replied to my message before. I'm going to go with the Win2000pro OS. Now my next question. Is it better to upgrade with Win2000 or fresh install ? It's been over a year since i've done a format so i'm guessing it's about time anyway. One other thing. I have the Siatek X36 and CH Virtual Pilot Pro and the Pro peddals. The CH eqpt is game port while the X36 combo is USB. I've tried and failed at getting the throttle of the X36 to work with the yoke and peddals. I can and do run the X36 with the peddals in several sims, F4, EECK, CFS2, this is fine for combat sims, but for FS2002 the yoke is the way to go (just doesn't seem right flying anything but the Airbus with a stick) Does anyone out there have a setup like this that they have working in FS2002 ?
    Thanks again all,
    Logan
p.s. Capt S I really wish I could talk the wife into letting me get a setup like you have in my basement :) pls keep us updated on this work in progress.

I am always a proponent of a fresh install over an upgrade - especially from Win9x to 2000/XP. Save yourself the headache of problems down the road - scrub the box.

I agree with Jase...a clean install insures that everything is loaded (supposedly... <g>) properly and there are no lingering by-products left over.

    Logan..

First i'll agree with the previous 2 posts about a fresh install. I have the X36 (although not USB) and the throttle works fine here. I could not get all the buttons on it to work however due to some software bug that with it at the time. (mine is 2 years old now) The Stick is still good and works well, but i do not have Pedals and therefore cant advise over that issue. I presume you have tried the related Sites for updated drivers possibly?

    Steve.
