    Default XP/FS2K2 Graphics Problem

    Hey,

As I said earlier today, I went to start 2K2 and when the create a flight screen came up, parts of the 172 were there and as it rotated, it would slide. I then tried flying, and it was like lookng out of a drug addict's eyes; scenery sliding, blocks, etc... Some people replied saying it probably had to do with the graphics driver/card, DirectX 8.1 which came with my XP. Since I have faith in them, I'd like some help on how to remedy the problem. I don't expect any replies soon, due to New Years and all. But if you could find the time..... Happy New Year

I see the same thing with XP everytime I set the visibility to "unlimited". Still haven't a clue as to what's causing it though (64MB GeForce3 Ultra with 12.41's).

Maybe try to shutoff your computer wait about a minite or so then turn it back on it might help. Or maybe you might just have too many programs on your computer and it is slowing it down. Just a thought hope I can help.

Computers and Systems sometimes are amazing to deal with.
My system specs are: AMD 1.3G + Asus mother board + 512 MB RAM + a Voodoo 3 dfx video card in Windows XP.
I run the FS2002 in full sets, except for the maximum visibility which I keep on not more than 60 nm and the target frame rate that I set on level 30 (the human eyes are not able to follow more than 16 fps!)
The limitations of my video card are obvius (only 16 MB) but even though I had no problems whatsoever.
I don´t think you have problems with your Win XP. Therefore, I would advise you to check your drivers.
Hope these informations could be of help for you.
    Happy New Year.

    What does bump mean anyway?!!

Voodoo 3: COULD be your problem..COULD. Try another video card if u can get ure hands on one.

Asus: THey have troubles on OpenGL, but FS2k2 is D3D. Whether there is any problems on D3D I dunno....Asus video cardshave problems dispaling stuff I think ...dunno about the MBs.

Besides going out and buying a new video card, what can I do RIGHT NOW to remedy this? I already tried unloading it then reloading it. It worked, I flew around, then it started again. I'm guessing it has to do with DirctX 8.1, but I figured that when I reloaded FS2K2 it would install its necessary drivers. It maybe did, but again it stopped working. Does anyone here know?
