Default Special Thanks to the maker of the new FS2k2 ATR model

LAST EDITED ON Dec-31-01 AT 05:35PM (EDT)[p]Just wanted to post a personal thank you to Marco Ravanello for the wonderful American Airlines ATR model recently pushed to the Flightsim.com files. It's wonderful. I flew in one of these airplanes exactly like this and I've surfed the files for the last 3 months hoping someone would make such a fine rendition. Well, I'll be flying all night in this baby. Yup, my New Years is going to be saturated with ATR vegging and Dick Clark rocking. Thanks again.

The plane is great, however the Heading guage seems to have some things missing, mainly the dial used to edit the course and the dial used to switch between the localizer and the VOR NAV.

The mouse cursor still will work if you place it in the right place, but it's like the switches are invisible.

I also get an error on the file, "Gauges/atr.hsi.GAU".

Hopefully we'll get a fix for it.

I just used CFG EDIT and replaced it with the Default KIng Air HSI. Works just fine..........

Hi, Are you referring to the "Real Chrome" planes? If so, I am hoping you can help me. I cannot get the MD-80 to work properly. No matter what speed I slow to, the landing gear will not deploy. I keep getting a message that says "Above gear extend airspeed". Problem: I CAN'T LAND! I've tried changing the .air file from another MD-80 per Mark's instructions, but with no luck. Other MD-80's prior to FS2002 seem to be incompatible (engines shut down and will not remain running after restart)

Also, I cannot get the AA Real Chrome 777 to show up on my aircrafts list no matter what I do. Any assistance anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to email me at perypoo.fl@verizon.net

Ciao!

I would suggest that you change 'Realism Settings' to 'Unlimited Fuel' until you get that landing gear issue fixed...

Sorry, had to do that :-)

Happy New Year, and good luck.

Rex,
Could you enlighten me on how to do that? Which King Air/hsi gauge is it and what did you type in the ATR panel.cfg file for it to be recognized?
Thanks again.

LOL :)
I wondered how long it would take for someone to inquire whether my sig was created using a real FS2002 pic. LOL

Sadly, no. I had some Airwolf models that were made for FS98 and FS2000. You can find these by just doing a search through flightsim.com file libraries. They're okay for the most part. Each comes with some corny .wav sound files taken right from the TV show. I think you can find some Santini Bell Helicopters and the "red wolf" too.

I was a huge fan of the TV Series before Jan Michael Vincent chose alcohol as his profession. So I searched out this pick from a fansite which had some nice 3D models on it. Looks just like it came out of FS2002 doesn't it? LOL
Hopefully, some genious out there will get ambitious enough to make one.
