Thread: Aircraft Performance Tables

  1. Default Aircraft Performance Tables

    Hello out there!

Does anyone know where I could find performance specs for the Cessna 172 and 182? MS provided minimal info on the aircraft specs, and I was curious about trying to find actual tables on "cruise performance" and "time, fuel, and distance to climb performance". Besides aquiring a real POH for the aircraft, I was hoping someone might have a source for this info.

Thanks in advance and happy flying!

There was a file on the system at one time that had the figures from the POH. It was for an older model of the Skyhawk. I have the tables for a P model of the 172. It is a 160hp and a bit lighter than the newer one in the game.
The other handbook I have acess to is one for the 182RG.

If not too much of a headache, could you post or email the performance figures/tables from the POH for the Cessna 182RG? I'm trying my best to make thing as "real" as possible in planning my flights. Much thanks!

You could try the Cessna wesite which has a load of stuff about all their aircraft.

    Eg The Skyhawk 172

I've checked this site out before. I was looking for an actual performance table (ie: cruise perfromance at different altitudes, etc). Thanks anyways, cb. I appreciate your help. I'm kind of surprised MS didn't provide more info for the flight characteristics. Oh, well, I can't complain...I'm having a blast.
    Thanks again.

Ah yes, performance tables from the manufacturer. Only thing I distrust in real life more than the performance tables in the POH, are the characteristics claimed by the sales brochure.

I guess Microsoft has to use the "offical" numbers partially because they have no other reference, and also to keep Cessna happy. It would be fun to tweak the performance to reflect real world aircraft.
