Proflight 2000 in FS2002 ? How ? How ? How ?!

Hello guys,

Since 2 weeks i am trying to get Proflight 2000 to work in FS2002.
I have installed it into Fs2002, the programm itself is running and working.

I copy the adv+brf files into Flights \ FsK2adv and the pln+flt files into Flights \ My flights.

When I select the flightplan in Adventures when FS2002 is running and on the Flightplan page, which appears , I click OK, my system hangs. A friend of mine tried it also and he had the same thing.

I have had some help from one person who had it running in fS2002, but I think that there are some important things that I do not know yet.
Like settings in Proflight , where Proflight is installed, where APLC, and then also the Fs2002 settings regarding Sound and ATC.

Who can solve this mystery once and for all ?

I agree, I don't think Proflight 2000 will work in FS2k2. And I wish it did because Proflight's ATC would probably be slightly more accurate and true-to-life than the default ATC. Unfortunately I don't think there will be a Proflight 20002 simply because FS2k2 HAS good ATC already.

We can only hope I guess. Keep trying and let me know if it works

I tried the procedure twice and both times nothin'. Definitely check it out to see if it works. If it does then could someone put the procedure up in a checklist format (us pilots and our checklists) The original poster of the solution was kinda hard to follow and therefore a step could have been easily missed.

In this case for example, I don't own Proflight2000.

ok gentlemen read this carefully. this has worked on my computer. i cant promice it will work on yours. ive made no adjustments to the aplc or any config file settings. good luck!!

ok go to fs2000 [must have also installed] go to the adv/wavs folder and copy all the proflight ound folders into fs2002 adv/ wavs folder. put fsuipc ive version 2.79 into the fs2002 modules folder. ive aplc32 situated in fs200 adv folder. thats all ive put into fs2002. proflight2000 remains in fs2000. ok go into proflight and in the settings change the path to fs2002 the path for aplc32 is c;program files /aplc32 as ive the aplc32 folder there also. thats all the adjustments to proflight. now click on select flight and scroll through the directory structure and go to fs2002 flights/my flights folder there you will find the flight plans created in fs2002. select your plan select plane etc then compile. when adv has compiled. exit proflight. go in to fs2002 in windows explorer and go to the adv folder copy the brf and adv files, you can leave the bmp folder. now copy them into the flights/ fs2kadv folder. now go to the pilots folder and copy the proflight flt and pln folders relative to your plan e.g pf2000-egff to egll pln and e.g pf2000-egff to egll flt and copy these into the flights/myflights folder. start fs2002 select the aircraft you chose in proflight and load say meigs once loaded go to select flights, and scroll down to fs2000 adventures there you should see your proflight adventure. good luck to you all.!!

I am also convinced that some setting, or edit is not quite right and have not been able to find the solution yet. Flight plans compile fine, but FS2002 stops responding when the PF plan is selected ("OK" is entered). For what it is worth, I can select the plan out of the Myflts rather than FS2K Adventures without FS2002 locking up and hear the background communications from PF2000, but I am unable to get any response useing either game commander or the keyboard. If some are able to find the combination that works, one would think that it would not be too great a task for AETI to come up with an update patch.
Hope somebody comes up with a simple solution. Come on AETI!!!

All of the people who claimed if functioned, had the Dreamfleet 737 installed (has an extended FMC too). Perhaps, perhaps, this is a clue.
