Thread: REAL PICS of Debonair

    Default REAL PICS of Debonair

With the recent release of the Beechcraft Debonair B33 by Geof Applegate and James Eden, I thought some people may be interested in seeing some pictures of the real bird that I took last fall.

Geof and I were practicing VOR approaches to RW 36 at Flint-Bishop International Airport in Flint Mi.

I thought it may be interesting for some to compare the FS2002 version to the pics of the real bird.

Nice shots Jeff! I bet your frame rates were out of this world, and I can't detect even a hint of blurry textures!

    Thank ye, sir. ;-)

What is ironic though is that the scenery is NOT crystal clear like so many people expect. We see this time and again with real pics like this. :-)

    Hi Jeff,

Great shots. The similarities are amazing. They really stuck to the plan on this one.

Looks like you had a great time as well.

    Thanks for posting those,

    Regards,
    Joe :-wave

Really neat! I wouldnt recommend putting those on Airliners.net though, I got some pics of about the same quality, maybe lower, and they STILL flunk! Ive done all I can, I guess I better revert to a regular camera.

Default Actually, I have some on Airliners.net...

    Hey Flyer-

Actually I have some pictures already on Airliners.net (see below). But you are right, they are very choosey. I have a ton more of biz jets etc. that I haven't even attempted to upload there.

    FLIGHTFX POLICY
1.) We design for reality, not for idealism.
Thus, you will not see virtual cabins on our aircraft. You can not see inside the real thing anyway, unless you are looking into the sun. You will find virtual cockpits but they will not be visible from outside for the same reason.
2.) We design for people with real computers. Thusly, we will not waste polygons on superfluous parts. We will use a texture when there is no noticeable difference between it and a group of performance wasting parts. We will model our aircraft efficiently. If you do not like it, too bad.
3.) We will give you the latest features, but we WILL NOT sacrifice visual accuracy to implement them. Accuracy comes before eye candy.[/font size]

I wish I did, Erick. But, as you probably guessed, I haven't had the privilege to get inside a Lear. A few guys here at work chartered one for a business trip, so maybe the next time I need to go with a few others, I can be so lucky. ;-)
