I'm new to this forum, but not entirely new to flight simming. I took a break from it for a while, but I have a renewed interest because of the fact that my Uncle recently passed away, and he was a "Hump Pilot". He had told me many stories about his times in the Army Air Force,(264 Hump missions) and I'd like to re-create some of his flying experiences. I'm using FS2004, and I've been following a beeline course From Chabua, India to Kunming China just to get a feel for it. I found a C-46 from California Classics which seems like it should do very nicely. What I'd like to know is if there are any other files somewhere that can make these flights more challenging and accurate.
Also, I've just finished reading "Flying The Hump" by Otha C. Spencer. I would recommend this book to anyone with an interest in flying.
Thanks for any response on this, and it's great to be back in the pilot's seat.
