    Default UA719 KLAX-KSEA

    A couple days ago, a doomed flight of mine filling in for a 737 that normally runs this route. Reason for replacing the 737 was that my 747 just happened to be on layover in LA when it's major overhaul appointment at Boeing Field approached. Weather turned to crap on the descent into Seattle and ultimately that and an unforseen short on my home-made control equipment's bare wires resulted in hard vertical drop out of the sky.

    Any comments? Particularly on technique because the plane really isn't anything special. My real problem is that out of the 13 screens I took of this flight [and countless others], only a few are good enough to consider posting.

    Also, even in the uncompressed bitmaps, the clouds appear blotchy like that. They don't seem to look like that in FlightSim. Any ideas?

    What graphics card/settings are you running? I noticed on my old 8MB card that screenshots taken in FS looked awful compared to in-game. I still don't know why it would do that, but it doesn't do that with my new 64MB.

    All settings maxed out, 32mb DDR GeForce 2 MX modified into a Quadro 2 MXR and overclocked. For reference, the rest of the system is an Athlon XP 1700 (1.5 GHz default)@ 2083MHz, 256mb Crucial PC2100 DDR @ 333MHz, Epox 8KHA+ motherboard (Yes, that's via for all you people that seem to think Via is trash, have a quick look over my performance numbers) and an SB Live Platinum 5.1 (Yes, Via and SB Live without any problems whatsoever, even at bus speeds several dozen times faster than the card was designed for)

    Heh, just figured out why it looked so crappy. Ingame I run 32 bit color and in order to play an older game, I turned the normal windows color setting down to 16. Turned it back up and it looks fine now. Whoops.
