Default African Safari-Tour of the Dark Continent- Series 1

These series screens seem to be catching on, it's a great way to share places others have not been or may want to take a look at.
Humphrey Bogart would appreciate this trip down memory lane.

This map charts our course in Yellow, the Red indicates the series flown. The green are side exploration VFR trips, (such as the Congo).

We start in South Africa, Johannasburg International. Early morning load completed. Even with sliders full right, the airport was not overly blessed.

    Hey Guy,
    Thanks so much.
The ILS approaches require you to mostly already be at full landing configuration, for the type of ship youre flying to better insure a good intercept, I shoot for 15 degrees or so.

There are a few great panels and sounds for the DC-3 if you search this sight under FS2000 aircraft or panels!
    Good luck!
    Cheers

    Bob!!! :-)

It’s so great seeing you back and sharing your great shots again… and Wow!!! :-eek

Not that my memory’s quite what it used to be – but, I think these must be your best yet – and it’s not even a helo!
    S’up with that? ;-)

    These are really GREAT!
You’ve shown the side of Africa I’ve not yet seen, and it is just beautiful!
Gee-wiz… sometimes this Forum is just torture!
I said earlier I come here and feel like Taffy – and I have to repeat that again now…
I want to be there! :-)

    ( * I just got a hotel room in Tehran this afternoon… * )

    Super shots, Bob…
Why do I feel so surprised seeing you flying a 747?
    Weird, huh?
That is so cool, though …

You most definitely nailed these shots in a big way…
Love the Map, too! The idea and your success with it… too-cool!

Hmmm… now you’ve gotten me thinkin’ again … (better duck!) ;-)

Love this post for too many reasons to mention…
    That’s the truth …

    Keep ‘em comin’, please! :-)

    Where to next?

    Best regards, as always…

    - Tia :-wave

    Hey thanks Tia!
Well, like you were, I'm sitting home sick as a frozen pup, (skipped work the last three days)hehe, So I thought I would punish everyone with some screens of some Big-O, GIANT continent that I've never flown near before. Other than Cairo.
I jumped on the 'series' wagon I suppose that seem to be so popular and fun these days!
Oh yes, when I jumped into the cab of that 747, I had to look around awhile...did'nt realize it had been so long....I felt like a...virgin! Do they fly to Africa? (Virgin Airlines)? ha!
Thanks for the compliment, stay tuned for the on-going saga!
    :)
    Big smiles,
