Default An Air ‘Journal’ in Images * Sixth (& Final) Set – 1st s/s *

I had the rest of my little story to relate here, accounting for my continuing “adventures” on what was to be my long-overdue “vacation;” – but, I’m going to pass on including any more of it…
I’ll just post these shots as & for what they are in themselves in the same hope as always, that there may be someone who will enjoy one or two of them… - or most or all…

More than the “story” I’d hashed out to accompany these numerous shots, as from the first I started taking SS’s, my object & goal has always been towards the image in-itself as Art.
In this ‘spirit,’ and perhaps, deference to my goal with them – I’ll be most-grateful to the viewer(s) who will look at these not as a “series” somehow interconnected, but rather each one as a finished “piece of art” in its-own right – an image at a time.

Not the greatest shots ever – but I think they are the best I’ve ever managed to create… They are my favorites – seems appropriate for my 600th post in this Forum… and perhaps one of my last…

All these shots are over Helsinki, Finland – Christmas eve’, 2001.
All are originals and untouched, having only been resized…

    Absolutely beautiful!
Thank you for making the extra effort to combine your perspectives of art and flying into this forum. It is certainly a treat looked forward to, I'm sure not just by me, but everyone here as well. I believe you have inspired many with your attention to detail, artful expression, as well as the shots being so sharp and clean. Posts from you, Peter, Jeff, and Bjorn and the like, really set an elite standard in this forum, which I look forward to enjoying each day.
I certainly hope we will continue to be privledged with your posts here, and that you are not sincerely considering this to be your last.
    Sincere Regards,

    Bob! :-)

I’m just so cheered seeing and ‘having’ you back, not much-else seems to matter at the moment.

I really do thank you for your all-too-gracious comments – not-only here with these few shots, but from the first I began sharing some of my shots in this most-marvelous forum…
    Always so-appreciated.
I’m glad you like these shots, the more so as these are special to me.
Of course, as you are hopefully aware, my debt to you reaches much-further still, as does my gratitude on the whole. I owe you much.

Who could help but note the glaring omission from the pantheon of elites regarding 1st-rate SS’s here – the name you left off that list of such artful-masters as Peter, Jeff, Bjorn and others… The list could never be complete without adding Lonewulph. Your shots have never failed to inspire me to strive ever harder for that level of keenness and vitality, and I’ve no doubt I’m not the only one.

Truthfully, as YPants commented earlier yesterday – “The standard of screenies just gets better and better around here.”

    Who can disagree?
There are so many new Sim’ers, or – anyway, new SS-contributors coming in seemingly every-day with new, fresh shots and showing good eye for beauty, detail, careful attention to the things which make air-travel and ability such a great pleasure and techno-miracle of awesome beauty…
One hates to list names, as so-many invariably end up being left off who so-deserve such recognition.
I remember when I first came here the sort of shots one saw with familiar repetition: I always enjoyed them, too… but now – now it does seem there’s something richer in them on the whole; something more clever in them; more unique, more careful – more finely-tuned and so many names equated with really excellent and enjoyable images of virtually every kind of aircraft in the most remarkable scenery locations of this (now) little blue marble we all share…

I, for one, am impressed… Especially in thought that many of them I think are quite young – but, the whole age grouping is so broad it adds all the more and greater wealth to what one can and does find here each new day …

It is, perhaps? ..as good a moment as any for me to slip into a quieter shadow of the room and simply enjoy what others have to share and show… ;-)
I’ll still be around … Unless I should be banned for some reason… Never can tell ‘bout these things… ;-)
I don’t think that’ll happen though – the Mods here seem a genuinely generous, tolerant and gifted lot.

All the same – having now missed seeing your shots for so-long a while, I’m eager to start seeing them again, as-well…
&nd there are others I’ve tried to encourage to come with more – some “newer” talents… guys like Cozzy and Alex, to name but two…
Watching individuals “grow” in something like this is great fun and so-enjoyable – and, I think, as rewarding as it is inspiring…

    So – in any event… ;-)
I’ll be here even if posting less… Who knows? I may be able to help someone out with a thing or two from time to time, and that too, is worth the time spent.

Thanks again so much for all your many and generous helps to me, Bob – and all your gracious kindness.
As much as all said – it’s really just great to have you back again … :-)

All the very best to you, as always –

    Tia

    Tia,
Both of the last set were once again 'top notch'. I must say your shots have increasingly "raised the bar" yet another notch. I can understand your thoughts on taking a breather. Sometimes you just reach a point where you ask yourself.."what else can I do?" And you just don't have an answer.

Take a break, rest, relax, do something else for a while until you get the 'itch' yet again.

    Jeff
