In a moment of seriousness though, this Spitfire MkIIa of 19 Squadron, was based at Fowlmere in June 1941. In the hands of Flt Lt. Walter Lawson it shot down a BF109E and damaged another on June 27.Lawson went on to claim 6 destroyed and several damaged in his 16 months with 19 squadron until, when flying another aircraft, was posted missing on August 28 1941.
