Following my little encounter with the American Consul and German Security in Berlin, I was eager to get out of the city as soon as possible.
I rented a Beech-Baron and filed a late plan and was able to slip out in the dead of night during quite a feisty thunderstorm.
Unfortunately, it was so dark that night, I really didn’t manage any good shots of the flight.
The next morning, having been made aware of a fortuitous window of opportunity by a sick pilot, I volunteered to fly a Delta 737 out of Bremen to Stockholm.
As dawn was breaking, the last of the night’s storm was slowly sweeping past…
The flight went like clockwork and couldn’t have conceivably been any less-eventful. The most interesting part of it – aside from seeing Sweden for the first time – was the rather odd weather.
The last of the storm passed just as I broke above FL240 for FL260.
We arrived in Stockholm with the first glistening snowflakes of a bright December morning’s winter flurry…
As always, it’s hoped someone may enjoy these shots – “plane-Jane” though they are…
