Evolution of Flight Simulator

I've never posted in these forums before, and this is my first time.
I remember When my dad first got Flight Sim. It was for 95. Old, and yet some of you may have older versions. I just though I would show you the great way FS has come in the past. The game has a land me option for the cessna and learjet, and only has 6 planes. The good thing about it all is my computer will run it at roughly 60 fps. The He got it in 94, which made me 7 or 8 years old. My mom got me flying after school one day in the cessna 182. She got me flying out of Meigs heading west. I got up to an altitude of 9000 ft and I was enjoying it for my first flight. I made it clear to Nebraska before I quit. That was my first flight and ever since then I've been hooked. I played that game right up till they released fs 98. Then I quit. I later got 2000, and now I've got 2002. The shots compare FS 2002 to 1995. Because it says some are too big to place on here (go figure) I'll have to link to a web page.

FS95 was before my time with Sims so I’ve no memories of it at all…
My earliest from MS was CFS.

It’s quite a contrast… everything’s changed… ‘cept that Lear Jet, which still looks terrible – even in FS2K2.

I started flying FS when you still had to run the program in dos. That was FS 4 I believe. In that version you had like 15 airports, and really simple texures. grass was just a one colored "sheet". I got FS when I got my first Pentium computer. A Pentium 1, 100 megahertz. It must have had like 16 MB RAM, and no 3d card. Just software redering. That sim never stuttered though. It was always smooth, with good frame rates. I've had every version of FS after that. I think I'll go ahead and install FS 4, and see what frame rates I get now.LOL.

I'm open for shots too. I installed FS 4 again and I'm getting 75 FPS on taking of from Meigs field. Image that I could get that in FS2k2!
