    Default Albuquerque Canuck!

A forgotten little city, with a nice airport, and some big mountains. A truely nice place to spend some time. Flew my little 'Canuck 80' around there for a while.

On the runway, ready to go..

The Canuck 80 is a fun little day trippin' plane. Not overly powerful, and is very forgiving!

    Hey Jeff!
I used to live there! Did you by any chance see the tram to the top of Sandia Peak? I like the pictures, I can't wait to get fs 2002 (christmas, I hope).

No tram on the mountain but they do have the radio/tv towers up there. Both Double Eagle II and Coronado airports are depicted too but the real world indians have now closed the later as it is too valuable (land). They just built a new cassino across the road from it and are looking to put up some comercial business there.

    Jeff,

    Sweet shots!
That little Canuck is just adorable! What in the world is it? :-lol
I’ve never heard of a “Canuck” in my life…
That is a really cute little plane though, & looks as though it would be a great little flyer…

    Really wonderful SS’s – all…
    I especially love the 4th, 5th and 6th – but they’re all great!

    What’s her top-end in level-flight?
If it’s not-less than 150 KIAS, would you please be so kind as to let me know where I might find that one?
Looks like too much fun to pass up! :-)

    Best regards,

    Tia

Been there done that- nice city! Actually I just passed through overnight off of 40 and Eubank- Ramada or something like that, since Kirtland wouldn't book a room for me (active duty USAF), but that was way back in Mar 1996. I thought about putting in for an assignment there a few times, but Colorado or Utah is still on the priority list, of course that's 3 years and 4 months away.

    Ciao Ciao!

    Tia,
It is a really neat little plane but no speed demon. Here are the stats:
    Max. Speed -111.5 mph
    Cruise -93 mph
    Ceiling -12,000 ft.
    Rate of Climb -550 ft/min.

The Canuck by Fleet Aircraft proved to be a very versatile type of aircraft being certified on wheels, skis, and floats. Canucks were also capable of aerobatic performance, as the design was stressed to the British requirements, with a minimum load factor of 7G.

I got the little angel right here in the d/l section.

    Scullmaster,
Kirtland is a unique place. I spent many days out there working in the hot sun and cold nights on our old A-4's. Our pilots did a lot of work out there and that place was like the 'Bermuda Triangle' for them. If they landed there, it seems like they always broke. I would jump in one of our two seaters and be promptly dropped off there to fix them. There is always a good mix of a/c there for one reason or another also. Good luck in getting your next duty station.

Wow, great shots. I like the effect you gave them. Looks real. And I think I will take a look on that nice little aircraft.

    Bart,
Thanks, That Canuck is fun to fly, and very photogenic. Of course I add my own touches here and there, kinda like makeup on a pretty girl.
