LAST EDITED ON Mar-15-03 AT 11:25AM (EST)[p]Greetings all...
I recently purchased CFS3, and like most of you (from what I've read), I'm having a terrible problem with stuttering. I downloaded and installed the patch; however, that didn't improve the situation.
Next I ran CFS3Config in an effort to try out some of the tweaks that I've read about here. The problem is that I don't seem to have access to any of the settings that everyone is talking about through CFS3Config. I don't get anymore options than I get with the display settings in the program.
When I run the CFS3Config, I see to tabs: "File" and "Help", and some information about my video card and driver (NVIDIA GeForce Ti 4200). If I select the "File" tab, I can chose between "Safest Settings", "Default Settings" and "Custom Settings", or "Change Display Options". The "Custom Settings" option simply gives me the 6 slider bars available in the program, and the "Change Display Options" let's me adjust resolution and turn anti-aliasing on or off.
Here are my system specs:
Windows XP
Pentium 4 2.4Ghz
512MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce Ti 4200 (w/ latest drivers)
What am I missing? How are you changing the settings mentioned in the tweaking discussions?
Thanks in advance for any help/info.
Kurtis
