LAST EDITED ON Dec-06-02 AT 04:10PM (EST)[p]Hello. Thank you in advance to anyone with a tip on this problem. I'm trying to gather info on how to explain a multiplayer problem or what components might be involved in order to get tech support.
I've been flying FS2002 multiplayer regularly with a friend. After installing CFS3 with the corresponding update of DirectX, we are able to fly multiplayer CFS3 just fine but now we are unable to fly FS2002 in multiplayer (FS2002 is fine stand alone).
Explicitly, both parties are booted up and connected together in CFS3. Works fine. If we both simply quit CFS3 and load FS2002 (no reboot, no reconnecting to our ISPs) we are unable to see each other's aircraft or chat in FS2002. FS2002 multiplayer does let one computer 'search' and find the host, but FS2002 does not operate in multiplayer mode.
One machine is Win XP home. The other is W2K Professional.
Via dxdiag, we can successful do DirectPlay. We've updated video drivers, no routers, firewalls etc.
What components should we be looking at or steps should we take in order to help solve this problem?
Again, thank you for any help.
