    Default catapult and arresting gear

    hi-
    has anyone here ever installed the rcbco20.zip catapult and arresting gear files for add-on aircraft carriers? the instructions seem rather overwhelming. how difficult was it?

    It's a bit more involved than a simple drag and drop installation, but not too difficult. The readme is thorough. If it's a little more complicated than usual, it's because the authors have taken the time to customize the information for several different variations of carrier aircraft. Follow it and you should have no problems.

    There are probably a few third-party planes that already have the needed lines added to make the RCBO gauge work.

    There is a file in the library (by Tom Kees, I believe) that defines all the catapult and trap zones for the series of carriers by Richard Hogen.

    I think Rob and Doug's carrier gauge is the coolest addon I have in FS. It's absolutely worth the effort.
