Default CFS 3 Creaking Noises when Turning

    Hello,

Has anyone else noticed the creaking noises when pulling hard elevator for a tight turn, I wondered if anyone knows how to turn this sound off, It sounds like my plane is going to snap in half.

    Thanks, Rockitglider

You might want to check in the sound options menu...one of the sliders there might help...but I personally like it, and of you are not careful, you might snap the plane in half....its kind of a nice feature IMHO.

You know Rockitglider it is a realistic sound so why cut it? Even the modern fighters make noise in long hard turns, high G's can do real damage to a plane you know.

Yup, I was lucky enough to get a flight in a Lightning (jet) triner at RAF Binbrook whan I was in the cadets (very many moons ago). And when the pilot pulled a tight positive G turn, you could almost hear the rivets popping in the airframe...unsettling, I can tell you!!

I've often wondered how many tight high G turns a simmer would make if we could duplicate the stomach and head "pains & aches" to go with it!!! ????

LOL... I remember a post that was on the fs2002 forum about 9 months ago. It got a lot of attention and was about hooking the simmer up to IV's and injecting them with all types of drugs to simulate forces inside an aircraft.

    I love these noises...

Makes my think back to good ol' US Navy Fighters, where if you did too many up-and-down oscillations in an F-14, you'd hear your RIO puke in the back.

    Great! :-lol

Hmmm... now that's an idea... add a little vomit wav to the game... LOL. When dogfighting, I get a little airsick sometimes (in the sim!) with all the turning and such.

My father flew the B-29 among other things in the USAF. One day my Mother asked him how he could manage to fall asleep in the cockpit? He repied that the noise didn't bother him BUT, when the engines quit the crew would wake up right away.
I stll have an old Red Baron WWI game. In that the old bi-planes would creak also and with enough g's the struts could snap, visually and audibly.
