Default Jet UPF-7 Coming Along Nicely

    Hi,
As you all know I building the late great Jimmy Franklin's Jet Waco UPF-7 biplane. I want a little constructive critisism on the lattest progress. I'm having some difficulties with animation and creating textures that aren't blurred since I only have MsPaint. Sound, Aircraft.cfg, and flight dynamics are also giving me problems but that can wait until its finished. I would still love for someone to help me with textures by fixing the ones I have. And can anyone point me to a tutorial on virtual cockpits?

    Blurred Textures

One thing that might fix that problem is to sharpen your textures with a photo viewer such as IrfanView
    http://www.irfanview.us/
before you convert them for FS.

I use PaintShop and a lot of times I will use the sharpen filter on my paints before converting.

Or if you are looking for someone to duplicate your paint scheme, I would like to take a shot at it. I have been wanting to paint a Bi-Plane.

I tried and it didn't seem to help much. So if you still up for texturing the plane e-mail me at swayne64@hotmail.com or post your e-mail here and I'll send the textures to you once I finish them.

I really need some help with all of the VC. I can't get anything to even show up in the virtual cockpit view in the sim let alone get anything to animate in the cockpit. I would really appreciate some help on that or directions ,link, to a good tutorial.

    Thanks,
    -Eric

Very cool, wish I could find my pictures of it. Too bad the Masters of Disasters died in a Midair.

Yes I’m very interested in doing the textures for you if I can. I did a little research after seeing your first post and found some pictures of his plane and the parts that look like white in your textures are actually silver on the real one, which is difficult to represent in FS but I will try to find what looks the best for you, possibly a light gray or maybe in a bare metal look.

    Ironstar,

This might be too much to ask but I'm planning on modeling Bobby Younkin's "Samson" next. Could you help with the texture with that as well? It should be easier without having to worry about the P&W jet engine strapped to the bottom.

    Ironstar,

Check you e-mail it should be there. It is the complete aircraft so far (4 Versions, Jet Waco & wingwalker, Mysteryship & wingwalker)all of which use the same textures (which I forgot to include in the e-mail) so you only need to edit from one folder and copy it over to the other.

    Enjoy & Thanks Again,
    -Eric

Got your email and the attachment but it shows it at 0kb. I tried to open it with both WinZip and WinRAR and nothing except an error “The archive is either in unknown format or damaged”
