Default Anyone up for a repaint of the "Just Flight/Flight Club" Tomahawk?

    Hello everyone!

I was wondering if anyone here with those mad repainter skills could do a repaint of the "Just Flight/Flight club" Tomahawk? It's my trainer as my username implies. The paint scheme is extremely simple, but I still can't do it myself... what a loser....

The paintjob is like the standart piper cub in FS2004, all yellow with a lightning bolt on the side. There's a little logo on the tail but I don't have a close pic of it, and it's so insignificant I wouldn't mind if it's left out. I have included 2 pics, sorry about the bad quality...

    Anyone interested?

    just ran across this post

Not sure if you have the repaint done yet or not but I am willing to give it a "go" if U want

I would need the default textures in the texture folder to proceed though

I am subscribed to this topic and will check for your reply

I am not the original poster but I would like one done. Or would like to know how to do it. If you tell me what file and where it is I will email it to you.

Well, first of all the minimum that you would need is:
    The original Tomahawk texture files
You would either have to have the Tomahawk yourself or have the original owner email them to you.

You would need a fairly good Graphics editor to load in the .bmp texture files for editing. Depending on the type of .bmp files, you may need a program to convert them to the format required by the painting program. A good converter is DXTbmp - it will convert to normal 256 bit .bmp files and then back to extended DXT bitmaps for use by the FS aircraft.

Finally, you will need a LOT of patients - Aircraft painting (depending upon the complexity) can be a time consuming, fustrating and even hair-pulling job - BUT- in the end, when you see the final product, it will be worth it.

Remember - when you are doing aircraft finishing or aircraft building or for that matter, any FS project, you are your own worse critic.

    Cheers
