    Default FIrst aircraft....

I am learning GMAX to create my first aircraft, the PZL Iskra, and I was wondering since it is a jet aircraft, should I go through the entire P-38 Tutorial or can someone point me to a faster GMAX (or FSDS if it's free) to making a Jet aircraft? I might learn props to make an Iskierka as well, but untill then, I am concentrating on making good PZL aircraft for FS. Thanks for your help!

The value of the gmax P38 (and the other discreet/gmax tutorials) is not so much to "teach" you to make an airplane, as it is to learn and get a feel for the program. Following the P-38 tutorial strictly will get you a "backwards flying" airplane, since the views aren't set up for the way Flight Sim expects the airplane to face. The front view is really the "back" view.....

There is a tutorial "Stupid Idiot's Guide to Making an Airplane with Gmax" by Hugh Shoults. We link to it from the (blatant plug warning) Freeflight Design Shop (http://www.freeflightdesign.com) Tutorials Section, along with other excellent tutorials on making airplanes and what I call "component" tutorials.
