I need a little help.
I'm knew to FS 2002, have a lot computer experience, and hold an ATP / Instructor rating. I have done some basic tinkering with cfg files, but not a programmer by any means.
I downloaded a Citation Jet and a separate Citation CJ-1 Panel.
The Aircraft flies better than any sim I believe I've ever flown. However, I wasn't thrilled with the panel, so I diverted to the Lear 45 Panel.
I noticed a few bugs with the downloads. I'm not sure where the problem is in the aircraft or panel area. I kind of think it's in the aircraft because when I change panels, the problem stays.
One was, the Flight director didn't work. I stumbled on to the fix for that. I don't remember if it was in the panel or aircraft cfg.file. Anyway, I changed Flight director=0 to Flight director=1. Fixed the prob.
Now that I was hot, I went looking for this.
The designer of the CJ-1 panel had a 2nd King Type Vor head mounted on the left side of the cockpit. I would prefer an RMI, but that make take some doing.
The biggest problem was, the 2nd VOR head got it's information form the #-1 Radio. It's OBS was also moved from the main Course Select up in the autopilot. Basically, the 2nd indicator was a duplicate of the EFIS # 1 Nav.
I honestly like the Lear Panel better, but the same nav-2 problem exist. There is no DME readout on the EFIS NAV-2 DME readout nor does the EFIS nav #2 nave needle respond. This makes me think the problem is in the aircraft cfg file.
If I can get the NAV-2 stuff to work right, I'll be a happy camper. But if you can tell me how to put an RMI indicator on the CJ-1 panel, I'll be even happier.
If you could please help me with this, next time you're in the Cayman Islands, the wife and will take you out on our boat.
Thank you.
Dennis
