Strange things happen sometimes

Changed views on this flight and WoW....what the heck happened..
Any Ideas on this one in FSX....Hasn't happened again so i guess its just one of those FSX things Eh?

Whoa........did it stay like that for long? or was it just a flash thing???

I had to end the flight and re select the same airplane and it was fine again...pretty wierd huh?...I love FSX ...The graphics are superb but it's things like this that really bug me...I also notice that when I first load FSX sometimes the intro music plays sometimes it doesn't...also some addon aircraft do not show up on the intro screen after you select it...it will be there when finally selected with "Fly Now" but you won see it spinning in the circle view before that... Sometimes I will be flying along and i get a white screen for about 3 or 4 secounds and then its fine again.....Little glitches i hope someday will be fixed...larry

Usually something like that could indicate not enough computing power, processor and or video card, or the video driver needs to be updated. In your case, where this happened just once and not again, perhaps this means that your hardware is lagging behind in processing this image momentarily. I had an FS8 w/ 500 mhz pIII, and 8 mb vram video card, 512 mb ram, when I changed views I would momentarily get square lights. I upgraded the video card and don't have that problem any more.

Well I don't think thats the problem...At least i wouldn't think so with my system and of course FS9 is flawless with not a stutter to be found ..beautiful graphics smooth in any weather in any situation.
Could be the driver though...

Your system is excellent. The 8800 gtx has a huge driver that's very complex, they had a lot of trouble with the vista driver, but the xp driver should be really great. But perhaps due to its' complexity or how it's relatively new, perhaps even the xp driver needs polishing? Since it only happened once, it is probably not a critical problem. Keep an eye out for driver updates.

Thank you my friend....When I come to think about it, It has only happened once and only with this aircraft..I just recently downloaded the conquest..Maybe a texture glitch in the aircrafts conversion to FSX....who knows........
