Beta Driver
Has anyone tried the new driver for the 8800 video card and was there any improvement with DX 10 over DX9.
Cecil
The previous 100.59 drivers for the 8800 did also have DX10 support. I did see some improvement (5-10FPS) after upgrading to Vista, but it is unclear weather or not this has anything to do with DX10 as FSX has not released it's DX10 patch yet.
As for the new 100.64 drivers - dual screen support finally works again... sort of... Once the mission loads I have to "alt-tab" out of FSX then "alt-tab" back in for it to work. It's better than before but it is still irritating. My FPS seem to have dropped a little in 100.64 but I suspect this is just because I'm running dual monitors again.
It annoys me to no end that these are still BETA drivers.... Nvidia has really dropped the ball regarding driver support for vista. However, they have promised validated drivers by the end of the month.
