Intel Core 2 Extreme Processor and VISTA

Is the Intel Core 2 Extreme processor 32 or 64 bit?

VISTA can be run in a 32 bit or 64 bit mode. If one has a 64 bit processor, can VISTA still be run in a 32 bit mode?

I have IBM Lotus software which cannot be run in a VISTA 64 bit mode, only 32 bit.

You should be able to run either 64-bit or 32-bit just fine with that CPU. At the moment 64-bit support for Vista is a bit lacking... Both for drivers and applications (including FSX). For the time being 32-bit is going to be your best bet - and the one you will have the least problems with. Later this year, it may be worth changing it to 64-bit.

I have a Core 2 e6600 running Vista 32bit - it runs great.
