SORRY TO DISAPOINT YOU BUT..IF YOU REALLY WANNA GET A GOOD EXPERIENCE IN FSX JUST WAIT UNTIL THE RELEASE OF THE NEW PROCCESOR (INTEL QUADRO) NEW VIDEO CARDS dx10 , NOT EVEN INTEL CORE 2 IS GOOD ENOUGH ...DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY WAIT

Deserator,
While we are all hoping that we will see good performance out of the new Intel Kentsfield devices, there is no data to back up your statement. Please refrain from guessing. We will all know in due time what the reslts will be.
To also say that the Conroe is not good enough to run FSX is reckless.
I think the problem is people have very little repect for the duo systems and how fast they really are. Like always microsoft has come up with a program to bring what is a lighting fast processor to its knees with huge amount of bloat and spaghetti programming. The thing is direct 3d by nature is more cpu driven instead of gpu driven as open gl is. So even the direct x 10 graphic cards may not still be fully used. I guess the only hope is that vista somehow comes in and saves the day and can make the card become fully used. Because as it stands FSX is appearing to almost be pretty much 95% cpu driven at this point in time. Which brings this thing full circle to the bottom line. How can something be design for future hardware when it doesn't fully used the existing hardware thats out right now. I could see maybe greyed out areas that would obtain to future hardware options. I dont know I guess what amazes me is that people have spend thousands of dollars on brand spanking new systems and not getting anything to show for it.
Seeems to me what you are saying is that the FSX needs a fast CPU
for its 3D graphics rather than a great video card (GPU)?...Yes?
John
To be more accurate, FSX needs a powerful CPU for the flight modelling, AI, ATC and everything it's running, as well as feeding the video card.
loki
Loki Thank you .
I guess no one has the Ferrari 5005 ye to run FSX on since they are both October releases in the US
