Default What's going on here? (Screenshots)

Hey guys, I recently moved to a new house and for the first couple of days I had to use one of my older monitors ,(smaller than the one I'm using now), and now that I have been able to connect my original monitor, it seems to have messed with my my sky textures...

Take a look (look at the jaggy textures surrounding the sun and clouds) :

Whereas before, my sun and clouds didn't have any jaggy edges:

...Also, yesterday while playing FS9 (and taking the screenshots for this thread) I received these messages about my GPU (I opened my case and checked the 4PIN connector of my GPU and it was there):

    The temp seems pretty good:

So...What's going on here? Could you guys help me out?

    Thanks :)

    Hi,

Move your system to another circuit in your house and see what happens.

Edit: Also make sure everything is tight in your computer. Moving could have loosened things.

    Hi Meine,

How are you doing? You're system is much better than mine, and I don't know if this is relevant at all, but just thought I would throw this into the mix. I had one monitor that seemed to be getting dimmer and dimmer, FS98 seemed OK on it, but the heavier Fly!2K was starting to look unbelievably bad. So I tried hooking up a slightly smaller monitor, 15 inch, which has a very bright high resolution image. But my 'puter didn't like it. So next to the troublesome monitor I had the same size monitor that I knew was working well, I switched the monitors to the opposite computers. XP and FS2000 looked incredibly awful on the troublesome monitor, while Fly!2K looked bright and beautiful on the good monitor, so I knew that it was the monitor, and not the video card or video driver. OK, but all that stuff is not relevant, but possibly this might be:

When I switched monitors to the other computers I got a message saying that windows is searching for a new driver for this plug and play monitor, took just a second.

Any way, I wonder if by switching downward to that older lower level monitor in your case, if windows automatically reduced the video settings to run that lower performance monitor? And now that you are back on the high performance monitor, are those settings at a lower level and need to be adjusted back up to where they were before?

Just guessing. Check your settings to be sure.

Thanks guys, but the problem still persists...(sorry for the late reply)

Jim, I opened up my case and everything seems to be fine-4PIN connectors and all.

Farley, I've checked my card's settings and FS settings...everything seems to be "normal" (2xQ AA, 8x AF, 1600x1200).

I'll see what I can do, I'll keep in touch.

AHAHAHAHA I JUST FIGURED IT OUT!

Can you believe it? For some reason, Microsoft thought it was funny to include a 1600x1200x16 resolution (16BIT as opposed to 32BIT); that's why my sky textures looked so crummy :+

I don't know Jim, my mobo and vid card are a bit awkward every once in a while...I haven't had a power error ever since the one on last weekend.
