    Default HELP WITH BRAKES SOUND!

Gentlmen and ladies,I lost my brake sound. I have the brakes_sound.wav file in the main sound directory but it does not work when i press the brakes (nothing wrong with the file itself. i was wondering, do you guys know where the brake sound command is? is it in the aircraft's sound config?, in the panel.cfg or where else. i would appretiate your help as I really liked that particular sound/effect.

    thank you. mark governali.

Sounds like an add on program. I don't remember the default brakes having any sound. I know using a program like FS Passenger's you get a brake sound, not sure what other program does this. I would try asking in the main forum, instead of the hardware forum.

I not sure what Brakes Sound you have...

I have this little kit I made up a long time ago which I add to most of my Aircraft...Brakes Sound, Gear Rattle Sound, Gear Wind Sound, Gear Call, Altitude Call Out's and Pushback...I just compiled a bunch of this stuff into a "Stadard kit" I can easily add to any aircraft...

Rob Barendregt has a pushback gauge which my also include allot of this type of stuff in it as well?? You may wish to take a look at that?? Here is the name of the file: rcbgh-40.zip

If you had the brakes sound...But then lost it...Could you have deleted the gauge...Or have you modified the panel config's in the aircraft which you've lost the sound??

You state that you have the .wav in your sounds folder..That's good...Then there should also be a gauge in the gauges folder which operates the Brakes Sound...And a line in each aircraft's panel config that you want the Brakes sound to work with...This line will point to your perticular Brakes Sound gauge...Hope that makes some sense??

Like I say I'm not sure how you were getting Brakes Sound??

    Good Luck...
