Default Matrox Triple Head 2 Go review

I really enjoyed reading Robert Mariani's review on this product on the front page. I have added this to my "short list" as a possible add-on when I do the FSX and Vista upgrade down the road.

Couple things I have heard about this in the past that I am curious about. The reviewer did not mention them so maybe they are non-issues:

    1. - There are some issues when leaving FS9 and reverting back to MS Windows. That things are kinda out-of-whack or stretched.

    2. - Any issues with gauges being oval and not round?

3.The outside edges get a tad distorted... tunnel syndrom?

    4. Can you use CRT's? Got 3 21' flat screen CRT's that I think would look great.

Anybody else using this yet and care to comment?

Hmmm, good questions. I too was thinking of putting on the hit list so to speak.

I have heard there are compatability issues with ATI. Perhaps this is solved now??

I have a 24" dell so was wondering about 3 of those???

    Hi!

Let me try to answer your questions.

No problems there - you will have a desktop that extends across three monitors

    >2. - Any issues with gauges being oval and not round?
    >

Nope - they are all perfectly round - remeber you can always resize your panels to fit your needs

    >3.The outside edges get a tad distorted... tunnel syndrom?
    >

Yeah, I might have szoomed out too much - shift+ or minus to fine tune it.

    >4. Can you use CRT's? Got 3 21' flat screen CRT's that I

CRT's are analog right? Yes that is what I have been using.

    Hi!
Matrox has a good site that lists all the cards that are supported. I belive they came out with the update for ATI cards recently but best place to check is matrox.com
    Best

Thanks Robert. Yea, the one thing I forgot was ATI drivers but I am sure by the time I try this they will have drivers if not already. Since I am using 3 monitors right now this will definately be part of my FSX "package" in the next 6-8 months.
