Default Microsoft Sidewinder force feedback pro

I have been offered a microsoft sidewinder force feedback pro joystick, but on checking it out on-line on several sites I came across comments stating that it does the force feedback does not work with Windows XP SP2, thus making it next to useless for FS.

Is this true or does it work with Windows XP SP2 and FS9?

If it needs new drivers could anyone tell me a site where you could download them from?

    Thank You.

Seem to remember pointing someone to this link some time ago to find the driver you ask about:

    http://members.driverguide.com/drive...driverid=77513

    (Free registration required to download)

There is no problem using this joystick with Win XP SP2 or FS9.

    Hi Keith,

Instructions for installing the Microsoft Sidewinder force feedback pro, are in the "Help Library" within FS9 - Or at Microsoft FS9 Help Center > http://support.microsoft.com/ph/1823/en-us/?aid=3

Drivers are already on file for the device with XP SP2, and the joystick is already listed on the Default "Device" cfg. file in FS9 - Plug it in/ XP will prompt Found New Device/ Follow instructions from either source above to install.
