Default What video card to use with FS2004?

    Hi guys!

I recently bought a new computer and a Leadtek WinFast GeForce PX6600 GT TDH Extreme card. It didn’t work well with FS2004 so I have to change to another card.

What ATI PCI Express card can you guys recommend that works will with FS2004?

I really want to sit infront of my computer flying FS2004 on my vacation. :)

    Kind regards

I agree with Bruce, the 6600GT should be very decent for FS. What else is in your system?

My system is like in this link incl. Intel P4 3.2GHz (800MHz HT) 1 Gb RAM and a Maxtor 300 Gb SATA disk.

I get quit good frame rate with the card but I also get this strange blurs, like it was snowing. Starts after ca 10 seconds and continues even when I pause FS2004. I have the latest nVidia driver, motherboard driver… Whats wrong!

    Kind regards

Look for a program called "Driver Cleaner" and do a clean re-install of the video drviers. Also is your computer is a well ventilated area? With small enclosures heat can be an issue.

Ok I will try that. Another question... how do you update the BIOS in the PX6600 GT under WinXP? The WinFox2.0 program sucks. No manual and the. When I try to click on wfxflash.exe in the WinFox folder the program crash. :(

I would not touch the bios on your graphics card unless you really have to and if you did you well have to use the Winfox programe. I have been running a new Leadtek 6800 LE 128mb AGP card for a about 3 weeks and love it.
