Thread: will dust bring down performance?

  1. Default will dust bring down performance?

    Im thinking of turning my fan to blow air out which will give me 3 total. i only have one blowing in air now and 2 exhaust, what do you think suggest?

    Dust will bring down performance once it's to the point of creating a HEAT issue.

    You will still have dust if you make all your fans exhaust rather than intake.

    You will also have higher temps because a case is not designed to work this way.

    Leave the setup as is.

    If you're worried about dust the proper course of action is to open up the case and blast it with canned air.

    If anything a fan setup that accumulates MORE dust is better. That just means you're getting that much more airflow through the case.

    Of course the price for that is you have to clean the case out more often.

    You could risk life and limb and tell your wife/partner/mother to clean the room more often.

    Sorry, its Friday and I'm feeling frivolous.
