green hue

hello simmers
i have a 4 yr old proview 21 inch monitor
before you tell me to buy a new one i cant got laid off
from lucent im broke
any way after a few min it flikers a green tint and then constan
now im sure its a color circuit somewhere in there
proview is no help they tell me to give the circuit board # and they
will send me diagram well i do not know what is malfunctioning
to request the diagram can any of you wisdom laced simmers help me

Just a thought: Are there speaker systems working in the near vicinity of that minitor by any chance? If so, move them away from the monitor as far as possible..

If there are no speakers involved and the monitor is really going, there might not be too much you can do. Unfortunate but true unless you plan on rebuilding it yourself. Being that you worked for Lucent, that might be a possibility for you :)
Just a thought though, I know Lucent has a ton of offices here in NJ. If you are around here, I can probably help you out. I have a few extra monitors, all 19" and I am sure I can help you out. Are you in NJ?

yes i do live in jersey n/w
worked for them out of whippany
but traveled all over
it cant be speakers or any other emf had this config since bought

If you whack it on the side or top (I'm Serious) does the problem go away ? - you may need only a solder connection repair - quite common and easy to correct once the cold solder joint is located.

Otherwise try gently manipulating the signal cable - at the PC connector and monitor input especially - if the color problem is affected by this - you need a new cable.

i had that problem once it was a dodgy wire in the 15 pin wire conector

yes it was only just hanging on after a few weeks it just whet green all together sao i had to find out what it was

right now i am using a old 21 inch radius i bought 10 yrs ago
and cant handle good refresh
