Thread: Jaggies.

    Default Jaggies.

    Hi Guys,

I know that I've read something with regards to 'Jaggies' here somewhere, but can not remember where. I just upgraded to a 6800, and I have the AA set at 8x, and the AF set at 8x. Yet I still get some 'Jaggies' around the aircraft and scenery. What can be done about this? Thanks for the input.

Be sure that the anti alaising is your graphic card setup is set to 'Application controlled' then turn on anti alaising in your fs9 display options. Be aware that unless you have considerable cpu speed this can really drain fsp. Because of this I usualy just leave it off on my system.

So why spend $600 dollars on a 6800 video card, and then leave the settings turned off?......Use AA and AF on your Video Card, to relieve strain from your CPU, not in the game settings.

Joe, what do you mean by 6800? That could be anyware from a $210 6800 LE, to a $600 6800 ULTRA.

Thanks for the two reponses. Let me just quickly post my specs. I am using a Pentium IV HT, 2.6 ghz with 1 gig of ram. I am also using an Nvidia 6800 GT OC. I am running it at 1024 x 768. Thanks for the help guys.

Have to side with Randy on this one; do not use the AA/AF settings in the flight sim. Use the settings on the video card itself.
