big frame rate problems

I am having issues with frame rates that make the game very jerky. the frame rates in all veiws will jump around from 8-32 or so and make it run rough. i have tried everything I can think of, like shutting down unwanted applications, setting fs9 priority to high and messing around with all the sliders. i even wiped everything out in the game and reinstalled it, still have the same problems. I downloaded the updated drivers for my video card as well, and it fixed some bugs but not the main one. any help i can get would be appreciated!! merry christmas and happy holidays to all in the flight sim community!


What i am running:

Windows xp service pack 2
nvidia geforce fx 5200 video card
amd athlon xp 1.25 gh processor
1 gig ddr 333 ram
msi kt4v mother board
80 gig hard drive

I don't think your processor and graphics card are really up to FS9. With your system, I think you will need to have many of the sliders towards the left.

I have had a bit of jerkyness since installing SP2 and think it may be something to do with soundcard drivers which I am told are installed within the service pack.

Did a clearout last week and re-installed FS9 with improved results. Some of the addons must have been having an affect. Still have some slight jitters when ATC speaks though.
