Hello all,

My Dad is having a problem with FS9. He's running it on a very new machine, GForce FX, Win XP, Barton 2800 etc. No issues with hardware that I know of. FS9 has been running fine since he installed it.

Anyhow, he took a power hit last night just as he was exiting the program (he had just clicked the "are you sure you want to exit" dialog. That's when the system shut down.

Since then he has been unable to start the program. He has reinstalled FS9. When he clicks on FS9, the CD spins, the splash screen comes up and then it crashes to the desktop. I guessed that his drivers/DX9 took a hit and had him download and install fresh copies of each. I went that route because of when I crashes, during 3D initializaion.

Needless to say, it still doesn't launch. Anybody have another solution? Would a reinstall of Win XP be in order?
