    Default New Computer. HELP!

Hi All, Ferridge here for some advice on a new computer for all you computer wizards here. :)

Here are the specs of it:
    Dell Dimension 8300
    3.4ghz Intel Pentium 4 Processor w/ HT
    2048mb DDR RAM
    256mb ATI Radeon 9800ULTRA
    120gb Hard Drive
    19" Digital Flat Screen
    Tiscali Broadband

    The Questions:

    1. Do I need to upgrade anything on this machine?
    2. What will the average frame be with 10 add-on packs on FS2004?
    3. Where do I find a 512mb Graphics card and what is the price, if known?
    4. Do you know where any better machines are located and also if known the price?
    5. Any other question answers you can think of.

Thanks for any answers, they are greatly appreciated.

P.S.: Does anyone know when the Project Fokker 70/100 Version 2 is coming out?

No, not at all. Infact I would probably shave some things off of it to save on price. For one thing you don't need 2gb of ram, 1gb is plenty, but if you feel like having a lot than 2gb might float your boat.

For processor you can get a P4 extreme edition, but those are very expensive and are not much faster. The extra performance doesn't justify the cost.

    >2. What will the average frame be with 10 add-on packs on

That depends, you will probably be able to max the graphics out but you will get jittery times in the game. You'll just have to take a chance and see how good it is.

    >3. Where do I find a 512mb Graphics card and what is the
    >price, if known?

For the gaming market, it doesn't exist. The fact is the Radeon 9800XT is the fastest graphics card on the market for FS2004.

    >4. Do you know where any better machines are located and
    >also if known the price?

Well www.alienware.com also puts out a gaming monster. You need to remember that whatever system you can buy or build, there will always be a better one possible or out there. The limit is how much time your willing to spend on your computer and how deep your pocket is.

I hope this answered your questions!
