Hey everyone,
right now I am deciding between buying an AMD 64 3400 or AMD 64FX-51. When clocked for processor speeds, they are just about neck and neck, it doesnt justify the extra $300 for the FX-51.
However, the AMD 64 3400+ Does not support Dual Channel Memory at this point. The Fx-51 does. Benchmark Programs like Sis SandraSoft (is that right?), just the FX-51 twice as faster in memory benchmarks then the AMD 64 3400+.
that would be an easy decision, but Benchmark programs allmost never reflect the results you would find in a real program, like Fs2004. So I am trying to figure out, if I should spend the extra $300 for the FX-51 just for dual channel memory support?
Thanks!
Jason Winn
