2. ATI RADEON 9800 XT easily based on picture quality and of what I have heard of it.

3. That depends on the person. Some people like the color repreduction of the CRTs and others like the easyness on the eyes with the LCDs. It all depends on who.

1 = AMD Athlon FX-51, Also have a look at the Athlon 64 3400 is much cheaper and just as good for FS.

2= Radeon 9800XT, I just went from a Geforce to an ATI card and it is no comparison for me.

3= LCD or CRT?? I am still debating this one. I currently have a 19" ViewSonic LCD sreen. I love the sharpness and it is really easy on the eyes. But the fixed resolution limitation is starting to bother me. Luckly I can buy a 19" CRT screen for dirt cheap nowdays. I might just buy it and run both.

Why would anyone want to spend that kind of cash on a P4 or AMD processor, you have got to have mental problems if you ask me. AMD, for one, there is nothing out there that is 64-bit right now and when it does start to come out. I guarantee you it will change from what is being mentioned today, therefore, the processor might be useless by then.

As for the extreme edition, how much more is this thing going to give you? Once you have accomplished satisfactory FPS with FS9 an additional 10 FPS is not going to make a difference, so I question buying this type of processor. I've read on several sites that the P4 is going to be decomitioned by Intel rather quickly in order to make room for the next generation of processors. I also read that AMD is making only 10,000 64-bit processors since demand will be minimal for now and they don't see the end user population benefiting from a 64-bit processor. With all this said, why why do you want to throw away so much moey on a 64-bit processor?
