Default XFX nvidia 5600fx problems, please help !!!

I just upgraded, I thought, from an nvidia Ti4200 64 mg to the XFX Geforce 5600fx 256 mg. I'm doing something wrong or this thing is #####. It jerks,737 bounces at slow speeds on the ground, it's slower than the 64 loading clouds, and when I try to access the radio stack I cannot return to my cockpit view. I get black blocks. Should I go back to my old card or is there a simple fix.
    Thanks for any input.

    Hi Warren,

Did you re-name the FS2002 cfg. file, then re-start the Sim.? This will allow 2002 to recognize the new Video Card.

Also download and install the latest drivers for the new card from NVIDIA site.(Be sure and un-install the old drivers first)

Takes a little patience, but you will see a performance gain with an up-grade like that........

    Randy,
I'm using FS2004. I uninstalled and reinstalled to let it pick up whatever it needed. Do I need to do more ?

    Warren,

    Yes......

You still need to do BOTH as mentioned above.........When you un-install a sim, it dosen't delete some of the original files. The 2004 cfg. file being one of them.

    Hi

Yep i agree , re name the fs9.cfg file to fs9.bak and let the sim build a new one , but the trouble is the file is not in the FS2004 folder its some were else , on mine it can be found at
    C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9

I have Win 98se and i think its in a slightly differant place with WinXP .

    Edit

The 53.04 for Win98 and the 53.03s for XP are good drivers to use .
