Recently done a format etc and cannot find any of the files to download to improve my vapour trail can anyone point me in the right direction please.

If you'd like, and you don't know of it already, Markus Brunner has a neat little freeware download called "AI Contrail generator 1.0.0.1". Can't remember the actual .zip name, but a search for this will help. It will allow you to assign a max contrail temp. where contrails will actually appear. I have mine at -34 currently, which generally starts them showing in the mid 20 altitudes.
Also, if you download multiple contrail effects files - which there are quite a few - you can add each one in your effect section of the aircrafts you have (AI and Flyable) and with this AI Contrail editor, actually select which one you would like to have "in effect" while flying your current FS9 flight.
Neat little app indeed! :)

FS9 configurator has a setting to adjust the contrails temperature if anyone wants a simple solution to get more contrails.
