    Default No aircraft preview

    Hi to all.

    1.) I installed fs9 on my new rig and all was fine. I later installed the fs9 update from microsoft and none of the planes I select when creating a flight shows up in the preview pane. They show up in the sim when I press fly now and is transported to the departure airport. Is this caused by a corrupted file?

    2.) Which line of which file determines under which manufacture list the aircraft will be found in the aircraft selection menu? I DL a aircraft that was not packaged under an aircraft name ie American Airline MD-11.
    It just had all the sub-folders acft.cfg in the zip. I made a new folder , gave it a name and extracted all the files to it and copied that folder to my fs9 aircraft folder. But when I fire up FS9, it's nowhere to be found in the aircraft menu.

    1. This is almost certainly graphics driver related.

    2. Here's the entry for the new Archer III

    [fltsim.0]
    title=DreamFleet Piper PA-28-181 Archer III
    sim=PA-28-181_2k4v1.6
    model=
    panel=
    sound=
    texture=
    kb_checklists=DF181_CHECK
    kb_reference=DF181_REF
    atc_id=N9277Q
    atc_airline=
    atc_flight_number=
    atc_heavy=0
    ui_manufacturer=DreamFleet & Flight One
    ui_type=Piper Archer III
    ui_variation=1 N9277Q Red & White

    visual_damage=0
    description=Piper Archer III by DreamFleet and Flight One

    As for extracting the Zip file, you should end up with a main folder containing (amongst other things) the aircraft.cfg file and the AIR file, as well as sub-folders for:

    Model
    Panel
    Sound
    Texture

    If you also get a Gauges and/or Effects folder as well, the contents should be placed in the respective FS2004 folders.

    Default RE: No aircraft preview

    Hi,
    When I had the problem of no aircraft showing in the preview window, it was down to whether you were in full screen mode or windowed mode. Cannot remember which way round it was, so trying from one to the other and see if that helps.

    Cheers
